On May 18th 2020 I was supposed to be standing on a sandy beach in Mexico watching my fiance walk down an isle between friends and family on her way to saying 'I do' and us being Married. Instead on May 16th in 2020 I was standing on the rocky banks of Abraham Lake in Alberta Canada watching my fiance make her way towards me. Instead of 5-star resorts we had a motorhome, a camper and a tear-drop trailer for accommodations. Our fist dance was spent singing the lyrics of "All For Love" by Brian Adams, Sting and Rod Stewart to ourselves on a cold windy cliff as our photographer 'clicked' away. Instead of speeches we were sent a video collage of stories, well-wishing and embarrassing tales.
Looking back at it now - I wouldn't have it any other way.
Fist thing - I like listening to podcasts, and because pre-pandemic I spent so much of my time driving around visiting clients I listened a lot.
I prefer the long form conversation where two or more people can discuss topics at depth and really explore the issue at hand. It is also convenient for me and others to consume when we have the time to listen.
